Successful UStudy Go Education Fair in Rotterdam

(23 September 2015) Sunday 13th September was a day full of information and positive energy during UStudy’s Go USA Education Fair held in Rotterdam. More than 500 visitors attended, comprising students, parents, teachers and educational specialists from across the Netherlands and Belgium for a chance to speak with representatives of American schools. UStudy produces the education fair in collaboration with the American International School of Rotterdam as an annual event. The fair was sponsored this year by Pace University, Skagit Valley College and Webster University.

More than 30 American educational institutes exhibited at the fair. This included Ivy League universities Yale, Harvard and Cornell, as well as top community colleges Green River College and Skagit Valley College. There was also a good variety of liberal arts colleges, private and state universities amongst the exhibitors, such as California State University East Bay, Drew University, Flagler College, Grand Valley State University, Hendrix College, Syracuse University and more. Orono High School, St. Johnsbury Academy and Wilbraham & Monson Academy were also there: three top high schools where students could find out about opportunities for participating in a gap year or semester. In addition, Dutch organizations DUO and Zorgverzekeringslijn also had a stand, enabling visitors to approach them for practical information related to studying in the US.

UStudy is pleased with the diversity of important basic information from experts who are now available annually in one place for those who want to know more about study opportunities in the US. “The fair is just the beginning of the orientation process and it is very fun and exciting for students and their families as they take further steps toward their goal. We are available and ready to assist and guide them in making their dreams a reality,” says UStudy Director, Marina Meijer.

UStudy and the American International School of Rotterdam would like to extend a large and sincere thank you to all exhibitors and visitors for a successful day. In particular the ‘Gold Sponsors’: Pace University, Skagit Valley College and Webster University.
