Studying in the US doesn’t have to be expensive! Almost 50% of all students in the US first start their undergraduate degree at a more affordable community college. Many then switch to a regular college or university in which they can finish their bachelor degree with a further 2 years of study. A so-called gap semester, or gap year, is also possible to do at a community college.
A community college is accessible with a VMBO, HAVO, VWO or even without a high school diploma… Several young Dutch students have attended Green River College.
