Green River College is a public college where students from all over the world come together to learn, grow and enrich their lives. Green River’s main campus, founded in Auburn’s Lea Hill neighborhood in 1965, stretches over 180 acres of beautifully forested land. Branch campuses, located in downtown Auburn, Kent and Enumclaw, bring the college’s unique educational experiences to local communities.
At Green River, students can choose from a wide variety of transfer degrees, career and technical education, pre-college and basic skills courses and continuing and community education classes. High-quality faculty and motivated staff advise, counsel and support students in their chosen educational careers, creating an atmosphere where achievement is expected and encouraged.

Green River College offers classes to prepare students for academic transfer to a four-year college or university – top transfer programs include business, engineering and IT. GRC offers a wide variety of other majors in sciences, humanities and social sciences. Green River is also known for its strong emphasis on internationalization, which is reflected in it’s international program and it’s international student body. As of the Fall 2014 semester, Green River hosted over 1,700 international students from 64 countries, ranking it among the top 10 community colleges in the US in international enrollment.

Athletics:
The Green River College athletics teams are known as the “Gators”. They participate in the Northwest Athletic Conference and are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Mens’ teams: Baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, and track and field.
Women’s teams: Basketball, cross country, softball, golf, soccer, track and field, and volleyball.

Entry Requirements:
Demonstrating English proficiency is required by sitting a TOEFL, or iELTS test. Students who have not demonstrated proficiency are required to take classes in Green River’s Intensive English Program.

Financial Aid/Scholarships:
Green River offers a variety of scholarships and work grants to international students. Scholarships are awarded as partial tuition waivers (reduction in tuition) and work grants are offered as paid, part-time on-campus jobs. Scholarships and work grants range from US $200 to $500, depending on the type and duration of the award.
