The Kent School is a co-educational boarding and day school for grades 9-12 and postgraduate level, located in Kent, Connecticut. The campus is situated on 1,200 acres in the Housatonic River valley. The charming New England town of Kent is a short 5 minute walk from campus and students will frequent the coffee shop, pizza restaurant and local deli for quick snacks or meals off campus. New York and Boston are just a few hours away.
The majority of the student body are boarders (over 500 students, and 50 day students). The student body is very diverse with approximately 30% of students being international and hailing from 39 different countries. Kent School maintains a high student to staff ratio of 7:1 and a small average class size of 12.

Subjects offered include:
11 multi-level mathematics through Post Calculus; 10 multi-level science courses; 5 multi-level languages including Chinese and Ancient Greek; Pre-Engineering Program (First and Vex); Independent Study Program; 3 levels of English Language Arts/ESL.
Athletics plays a big role at Kent School, which offers 56 Varsity, JV and Thirds teams, and 12 intramural sports as well as yoga, aquatic fitness, mountain biking, and skiing.
Jeff Beck (pictured above) is the Associate Director of Admissions & Assistant Director of Financial Aid and is in his 4th year at Kent School. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University where he played three (3) NCAA college sports (Hockey, Baseball and Golf). After finishing his BA at Wesleyan, Jeff moved to New York City where he worked in Finance for three years. Jeff then went back to school and completed his Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. Now at Kent, Jeff oversees a significant portion of domestic and international travel for the admissions office as well as serving on the Financial Aid Committee. While on campus, Jeff lives with his wife Caroline, in a boy’s dormitory. Caroline is a member of the Kent School Faculty and teaches four sections of English. Jeff also serves as an Assistant Coach of Boys Varsity Ice Hockey and Varsity Baseball.
