Location: New York City and Westchester County, New York

Type: Private university

About:

Pace University is a private university with campuses in New York City and Westchester County, enrolling almost 13,000 students in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in its College of Health Professions, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Lubin School of Business, School of Education, School of Law, and Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems.

With two main campuses, Pace University offers its students two distinct collegiate experiences. At the school’s New York City campus, students live and learn amid the bustle of Manhattan’s Financial District. About 30 miles away, students can enjoy a suburban lifestyle on the school’s Westchester campus in Pleasantville, New York. Undergraduates have on-campus housing options at both locations, though many students choose to commute. Each campus also has its own selection of student organizations, including fraternities and sororities.

The most popular majors at Pace University include: Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs; Health Professions and Related Programs; Psychology; and Visual and Performing Arts.

Pace University is the first Gold Sponsor to register for the 2016 Go USA Education Fairs to be held on Saturday 17 September at the International School of The Hague, and Sunday September 18 at the American International School of Rotterdam. Pace is also well known for its strong internship program.

School Information:

Housing:

Both campuses offer student housing in residence halls close by.

Entry requirements:

Students who will graduate or have graduated from a high school in a country where English is not the official language and for whom English is not their first language must present proof of English proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

In general, a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based version), 213 (computer-based version), or 80 (Internet-based version) is sufficient to demonstrate the required proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University programs.

ACT/SAT scores – although not mandatory, international students may submit an SAT/ACT score in lieu of a TOEFL/IELTS score. (Although not a rule, generally a 500 or better on the Critical Reading section would warrant a waiver and suffice English proficiency). Submission of SAT/ACT scores may also make international applicants eligible for merit scholarships.

Tuition: (indicative for 2015-2016 academic year)

Financial Aid/Scholarships:

Merit-based scholarships are available to international students who apply as first-year applicants and demonstrate academic promise. UStudy can help you determine whether you qualify for these and if so, how to obtain them.  In fall 2013, 81 percent of undergraduate international students received some form of merit-based scholarship money.
