Are you in the process of applying for studies in the US and confronted with practicing for the SAT Reasoning, ACT and TOEFL tests? Do you have no time/discipline/incentive to go through that thick practice book or online course on your own? UStudy can help you! The test preparation workshops led by our American teachers are 3 hours long and conducted in English. To make the most use of these workshops, we limit the number of registrations.

- Tips for writing a ‘persuasive’ essay

Our workshop facilitators:
Robin Schuessler, a qualified American English teacher working with UStudy. Robin has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from the State University of New York. She was a SAT Preparation Instructor at Kaplan in Miami.
Lucas Franchi is an American teacher who has lived in the Netherlands for two years, and has more than eight years of teaching experience. He worked as a SAT prep tutor for the Princeton Review. Lucas has had teaching experience in the Netherlands, China and Korea, and is now one of UStudy’s workshop facilitators. Lucas has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University Leiden. During his studies he taught English (writing, comprehension, ESL, TOEFL etc.) as well as Science, Maths, Economics, International Relations, History, Political Science and SAT/ACT/GRE Prep.
Stefania Lessen was born and raised in New York City where she attended school and started her bachelor degree at Hofstra University. She is currently studying at Webster University in Leiden where she will soon graduate in December 2016 with a BA in International Relations with a Certificate in Human Rights. She is also preparing a thesis about the Brazilian Economy for law school applications. She hopes to to study law at Leiden University and eventually practice International Business law. Stefania has experience teaching a variety of subjects from English to mathematics. She loves tap-dancing and traveling, and apart from English she is also fluent in Spanish and Italian. She has lived in the Netherlands for several years. Stefania is available for SAT/ACT/TOEFL workshops and private lessons.
It is possible to arrange a personalized 2-hour TOEFL, SAT and essay writing lesson at our UStudy office, at the teacher’s or student’s home, or via Skype. This is also available in the evenings and on Saturdays.
Preparation for the ACT test is only available via Skype.
A 2-hour private lesson via Skype costs 130 euro.
A 2-hour private lesson at UStudy’s office costs 150 euro.
A 2-hour private lesson at the student’s house costs 200 euro.
The price includes handouts for each participant.

The SAT is held only 6 times each year in the Netherlands and Belgium. For dates and registration, please go directly through the Collegeboard and ACT websites. (Remember to register EARLY ).
(NB: Registrations close ONE MONTH before each test date).
Test locations include Wassenaar, Amstelveen, Rotterdam and Brunssum.
There are 40 TOEFL test dates each year in the Netherlands, with locations in Arnhem and Velp.
