Master's and PhD Programs in Spain:
Master's program
Duration options: 1 to 2 years
If you have graduated from college or university (bachelor’s degree or higher), you can continue your education by following a master’s program. In Europe it is quite common to continue with a master’s program after you have finalized your bachelor’s degree. In the so-called Bologna Agreement, the universities in the European Union decided to establish two independent academic programs: bachelor’s and master’s. It is now quite easy for students to study for a bachelor’s and master’s degree at different universities in the same country, or in different countries.
By using the ECTS credit system accepted throughout Europe, it is incredibly easy to continue your studies in another country. Many master’s programs are taught in English because universities hope to attract the best students and researchers from around the world. English is the “lingua franca”. Having a good command of the Spanish language is an asset.

PhD program
Duration options: 4 to 5 years
A doctoral degree is the highest level of academic degree awarded by a university. A PhD program in Spain is geared towards talented and bright young researchers who work towards preparing themselves to deliver a doctorate research thesis. PhD graduates may go on to teach at a university level and, as professors, form an important part of university research schools. Students can apply for PhD positions that are announced as vacancies in university academic transfer publications.

UStudy helped me to set up an American-style resume, and their application specialists assisted me in composing proper application letters. I also took part in their ACT prep workshops, which led to my ACT test score going up. Without UStudy, I probably would not have succeeded; you have to take care of so many things!
